2.       Lv1: Rear Bear Hug

-          Attacker: Bear hug around stomach from behind, arms free.

-          Defender: Similar to Removing talon, fold for “low block” left hand grabbing attacking hand placing thumb on back of his hand, other fingers gripping under the thumb.  Opposite hand striking to the bicep.  ¼ turn to the left, utilizing the full body motion to peel attackers hand away, putting him into a “¾ twist” joint lock.  Stepping center punch to the face.  Note: the joint lock should force the attacker’s head down to center punch level.

3.       Lv1:  Hammering Talon

-          Attacker: Cross wrist grab

-          Defender: Beginning in a forward stance low block position, pull back into a cat stance pulling attacker’s hand toward your opposite fist.  Hit back of attacker’s hand.  Pull the hand that was grabbed toward your opposite ear, folding for a downward hammerfist.  Stepping back to a forward stance with the same foot, hammerfist strike to attacker’s nose or clavical.  Follow up with a stepping center punch to the solar plexus.

Lv2: Grasping Talon

-          Attacker: Same side Wrist Grab

-          Defender: Similar to the Lv1 application, pulling back from a forward stance/Low block postion, into a cat stance.  This time regrab your opponent’s wrist with you free hand.  Fold the hand that was grabbed for a hammerfist.  Stepping into a forward stance behind the attacker’s leg, execute a downward elbow strike onto the bicep, followed with a hammerfist to nose.

4.       Lv1: Breathing Sword

-          Attacker: two handed choke from front

-          Defender: Step Back (R) foot into forward stance, while simultaneously clearing attackers arms away using a left low block.  Pivot the feet to the right while refolding left hand for a knifehand.  Pivot the feet and knifehand strike to the attacker’s neck.  Step forward, executing (R) “high block” (rising hammerfist) to the attacker’s throat/ chin.

Lv2: Rising Lever

-          Attacker: Same Side Wrist Grab

-          Defender: Pivoting feet & folding for knifehand, turning the grabbed hand palm toward your face.  Pivot feet toward attacker as you use your knifehand to regrab their wrist.  Using the twist of your body, turn their elbow down as you fold for your “high block”.  Use your rising forearm to create a fulcrum point just above the attacker’s elbow.  Pull down on their wrist as you apply upward pressure on the tricep/elbow, creating an armbar lock.

Lv 2: Capturing Sword

-          Attacker: (R) Hooking Punch

-          Defender: Same as Circling swords, except that after executing the initial block, the blocking hand grabs the attackers forearm, pulling them into the follow up strike
